Bush Chief Testifies, Panel Begins Deliberations

How often do you see this (not counting on TV or in the movies)?  Senior CPO Kevin Curtis, the former senior enlisted master-at-arms (investigator) on the USS George H.W. Bush testified in his own defense at his court-martial yesterday.  Curtis took the stand to counter testimony from a host of his subordinates that Curtis had maltreated them by doing things such as stapling their skin and assaulting them with pepper spray. Curtis admitted some of the allegations, citing poor judgment on his part in engaging in such horseplay with his subordinates, but he claimed that the basis for some of the accusers' allegations stemmed from a desire to exact revenge on Curtis.

Both sides made their findings arguments after the conclusion of the defense evidence, and the members began deliberating yesterday.
