Mixed Findings and No Discharge for Bush Chief

Former USS George H.W. Bush master-at-arms Senior Petty Chief Kevin Curtis was acquitted of a host of the specifications against him at his court-martial this week, including for aggravated assault and stapling the skin of his coworkers.  The members did find him guilty of having a unprofessional relationship with a subordinate for borrowing money from the subordinate, maltreatment of 4 subordinates, and disrespect towards a superior commissioned officer.

The enlisted and officer members sentenced Curtis to 179 days in confinement and reduction from E-8 to E-4.  They did not adjudge a punitive discharge.
