Investigation Hamstrings Moroccan National Guard Members

Remember the soldiers who were accused of attempting to poison the food of their fellow military trainees at Ft. Jackson a couple of years ago?  Well, the "plot" was apparently unfounded, but 2 of the 5 Moroccans at the center of that controversy are still under FBI investigation, according to the New York Times.  While Khalid Lyaacoubi and Yassine Bahammou were recruited as part of a program to boost the US military's native speakers of the languages spoken in Afghanistan and Iraq, they now find themselves struggling to maintain jobs and fighting to clear their names.  Lyaacoubi and Bahammou believe the Ft. Hood shooting suspect, Major Nidal Hasan, and his alleged religiously based motive for the killings have placed bulls-eyes on their backs due to their Muslim backgrounds.
