As long-expected, the
general court-martial convening authority referred Major Nidal Hasan's case to a
capital court-martial. Hasan faces the charges as the result of the Ft. Hood massacre in November 2009. The
Ft. Hood Press Center reports a military judge has not yet been assigned to the case.
